Father’s Day is coming up, and we all know how difficult it can be to get something for the parent that has everything they need already. So, maybe we can help out with that! First things first, does Dad even smoke cannabis? Does he prefer to eat it? Drink it? If Dad is new to cannabis, we’ll definitely want to start with something “micro.”
Microdosing & Edibles
Are a great way to ease Dad into cannabis. Typically, edibles will come in a package containing 100mg of THC broken up into 10mg bites. Microdosing brings those “bites” down to 1mg or even .5mg of THC. The best way to “microdose” THC is to purchase an Edible, a Drink, or a Tincture and to measure a smaller dose. Our Pacific Reserve 1:1 Gummies have 5mg of THC and 5mg of CBD per bite, which can be perfect for microdosing if you cut them in half. Then you have a bite of 2.5mg THC and 2.5mg CBD. Dad will build tolerance over time and might eventually have the whole bite. But that depends on how often Dad is getting high.
You can also find an Ole’4 Fingers 10:1 Gummy Pack in our stores. These might be ideal for micro-dosing since each bite ONLY has 1mg of THC and 10mg of CBD per bite. CBD is known to give a nice body high and may give Dad a slight head high with 1mg of THC. The results depend on the user and their body type, so keep an eye on Dad; we don’t want him getting “stoned” if they’re not ready.
If Daddy-O likes to have a beverage in hand, another approach can be THC Drinks! Usually, drinks are packed with 100mg of THC per container. So, you’ll want to use the cap of the drink product to measure the proper dosage. Typically, the drinks caps will measure up to 10mg of THC. Mix that with another beverage of Dad’s choice, and he can sip on it. Drinking half of the mixed beverage and then waiting to see if more is needed might be for the best. Again, we don’t want Dad getting “stoned” unless that’s what they want.
