The Kansas City Royals have partnered with Pure Spectrum, a hemp-derived cannabidiol product manufacturer, to promote education about the potential therapeutic benefits of CBD. This makes them the second Major League Baseball (MLB) team to form such a partnership.
Pure Spectrum has a history of sponsoring athletic events, including the CrossFit Games in 2018 and working with U.S. Olympic governing bodies like USA Triathlon and USA Weightlifting.
This announcement coincided with the grand opening of a new “Pure Spectrum Lodge” at Kauffman Stadium last Friday. The lounge offers a space within the stadium that allows fans to relax, watch the game, grab a drink, and learn about the benefits of CBD.
